The fourth annual Health and Wellness Expo took place on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the University of the West Indies’ campus.  Many complementary and alternative medicine practitioners displayed their wares and/or offered analysis to the attendees.  Several groups offered tasty natural “itals”  for consumption from the bounty of the Nature Isle of Dominica.

Dr. Janet Taylor was one of the presenters and offered free nerve scans of the neck to the public to find stressful areas of nerve irritation causing dysfunction.  Dr. Taylor uses state-of-the-art technology called the “subluxation station” using a SEMG (surface electromyelogram) to locate where the nerves are irritated to the muscles causing stress, tension and pain.

Dr. Taylor also awarded those who came to her booth with a coupon to come into her office for a full spinal scan and analysis of how chiropractic can help their situation.  During the day, many speakers enlightened the public with talks on alternative health care and Dr. Taylor was one of them.

Since time was limited, Dr. Taylor lectured on The Top Ten Pain Releasers and had the listeners do one of the techniques for neck tension and pain.  The audience was duly surprised how effective a simple process can be and were excited about the class Dr. Taylor is offering on May 19th to learn all ten techniques.  Three people signed up on the spot for the class!

Although it rained constantly for the entire day, those presenting and those attending brought buckets of sunshine to each other!
